Mistress Leads Man on a Walk of Shame
The death of an ego is the birth of a slave.
“You say you want to be my slave. To surrender your ego. You promise to obey men unquestioningly. Easily made promises. Men before you have claimed to worship me. Begged to be owned, totally and without escape. But their words were fantasies they could never live up to.”
“Please don’t make me do this.”
“I’m not going to make you do anything. This is a test. Pass and you become my property.”
“If I fail?”
“I leave you here and forbid you to ever approach me. Fakes have wasted enough of my time. Phonies are the most egregious pests.”
“But nothing. Obeying will shame you deeply. I know. That is the idea. You can have your ego or be my slave. Choose between vanity and servitude.”
“People will laugh at me.”
The woman laughed.
“Seeing a man crawl down the street, wearing only Speedos being led on a chain is a sight to laugh at. Now – follow me or lose me.”
She stepped forward; the almost nude man crawled behind her. Palms and knees scraped against sidewalk.
Many people were home Sunday afternoon. They stared at the procession. Finally he heard the dreaded words.
“That’s Mark. I haven’t seen him since he left Alison. Look at him. He’s an even sicker pervert than we heard.”
Cellphones rang throughout the neighborhood. People came out to watch a former neighborhood crawl behind an older woman.
“He must be her dog. What a sicko!”
The long blocks later, they reached the dead-end.
“Good boy. Now for your second test.”
“Wasn’t this enough?”
“Hush. I’m going to put on a blindfold and earplugs. You must prove your trust in me.”
She led him back through the neighborhood. She guided him up and down curbs.
She laughed at the gawkers.
She will never tell her new slave that she respects him more than his former neighbors. As she exits the street, Mistress turns and gives the watchers the bird.
In the car he sobbed. Self-exposure was wrenching. His embarrassment would fade.
Now the chattel of a Mistress, memories of his old life would fade. Her cruelty was kinder than the stupid thoughts of an ignorant majority.
